[board-unyoc] Interesting vendor interaction - state of UNYOC

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share an interesting vendor interaction I had at MLA.  When speaking with a vendor, they mentioned that they heard UNYOC was going to be, no more.  And I was taken aback because I thought that was internal board information and while I found it disconcerting for a vendor ask me, what I was more concerned about is  - did they ask other UNYOC members who were at MLA who have no clue about it yet??!!  Something random to add to my already long list of worries, over which, I have no control.

I told him that we were simply in a investigative stage, and some general/standard membership woes - and said that nothing was decided.  But I didn't know if others had a similar experience?

And to ask everyone to hold this close until we have the chance to speak with our membership - and for NAHSL to speak with their membership too - because I don't think they have spoken with their membership either.

Hopefully I was the first and only UNYOC person to have this vendor interaction/conversation.
