Lunch and Learn Panel: Rare Disease Day at SUNY Upstate

A lunch and learn panel on Rare Disease Day will be held Feb. 28 at noon in 9295 Weiskotten Hall. Rare Disease Day is a globally coordinated movement on rare diseases, working towards equity in social opportunity, healthcare, and access to diagnosis and therapies for people living with a rare disease. The event will feature a diverse panel of speakers, including Upstate researcher Dr. Frank Middleton, Upstate physician Dr. Joan Pellegrino, Dewpoint Therapeutics molecular pharmacologist Violeta Yu, a caregiver family who has worked with Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy, and a rare disease patient. The event is hosted by Upstate Student Government and the GENEius Club.
