Dear College of Health Profession Faculty and Staff,

I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for the incredibly warm welcome yesterday. Starting a new position always comes with a mixture of excitement and anticipation, and I left yesterday feeling genuinely excited about the people I will have the opportunity to work alongside here in the College of Health Professions.

Over the next several weeks and months, one of my most important priorities will simply be to listen and learn. I want to better understand our programs, our people, what we do exceptionally well, the challenges we face, and where you see opportunities for the College moving forward. I look forward to meeting with all of you individually and in small groups as I begin that process.

I also want you to know that I value openness, collaboration, and communication. Please feel comfortable reaching out, stopping by, or introducing yourself again when you see me. I met a lot of people yesterday, so I may need a little grace as I work on putting all the names and faces together!

There will be plenty of time in the months ahead to talk about goals, priorities, and our collective vision for the College. For now, I am looking forward to learning from all of you and becoming part of the Upstate community.

Thank you again for making my first day such a positive one. I am excited to get started and to see what we can accomplish together!
