Description: Psychological First Aid is an early intervention that can be used to support anyone who is stressed or distressed, including patients, clients, and colleagues. This training will present a toolkit of supportive elements that can be used to help others, regardless of the setting or source of the stress, in order to remove barriers to natural resilience.
Target Audience: Hospital, nursing home, adult care facility, Local Health Department, Emergency Medical Services, and Emergency Management.

Description: As we move through the second year of the global pandemic, everyone continues to grapple with a complex and ever-changing combination of acute and chronic stressors, which can take a toll on our ability to function professionally as well as impacting our personal mental health. After an overview on how stress impacts brain functioning, this training will take an applied focus on understanding how to manage stress, with an emphasis on building and maintaining resilience through cognitive approaches including Stress Inoculation.
Target Audience: Hospital, nursing home, adult care facility, Local Health Department, Emergency Medical Services, and Emergency Management.
