Dear Colleagues,
We're excited to invite you to our Fall 2026 REACH Intensive Workshop—a welcoming, one-day in-person experience.
This fall, we're bringing a special focus to caring for older adults with mental health conditions.
Whether you're looking to refresh your knowledge or gain new, practical tools, this workshop offers a supportive space with interactive discussions, real-world geriatric cases, and guidance you can apply right away in your practice with elder patients.
________________________________
Who We Are
Since 2022, the Upstate Mental Health REACH Initiative has helped over 600 providers across 51 New York counties build real confidence in mental health care. Founded by the SUNY Upstate Medical University Department of Psychiatry and supported by the Patrick Lee, Julia E. Oyer, and Mother Cabrini Foundations, REACH is built for busy primary care providers that is completely free for providers.
Our mission is simple: equip you with the skills to screen, diagnose, and treat the mild-to-moderate mental health conditions you see every day in your practice.
REACH offers a supportive, practical learning environment to help you better serve patients presenting with mental health needs in your everyday practice.
________________________________
What We Do
REACH runs two educational cycles per year — Spring and Fall — each designed to fit into your schedule without disrupting your practice.
Every cycle includes:
· A one-day intensive workshop — updated topics each cycle, so returning participants always learn something new
· 10 weekly ECHO sessions — collaborative, case-based learning with peers and experts
· The program is 100% free for all participants.
