[epicproviders] [EXTERNAL] COVID-19 Testing Upon Admission

[Epic - All Provider Staff]

Inpatient Providers:

Effective November 19th:  ALL Patients admitted to Upstate University and Community Hospitals will need to have a COVID-19 test within 8 hours of Admission<https://epic.upstate.edu/documents/intra/covid_19_testing_upon_admission_system_update_bulletin.pdf>.  For admitted patients that do not fall under the symptomatic definition of COVID-19, providers will select the Admission Screening option in the COVID-19 Order for administrative testing or planning section.
