[epicproviders] Effective 2/11/22 - Modifications to the Central Line Flush Order Sets

Inpatient Providers

Effective Friday February 11th, 2022: Due to the National Heparin Back Order, modifications have been made to the Central Line Flush Order Sets in order to conserve Upstate's heparin resources. There are 2 primary flush orders sets; one for Adult and one for Pediatric patients.  The Pediatric order set remains the same with the Heparin selections, but has been renamed to Pediatric Care & Maintenance of Central Lines IP.

Adult Central Line Flush Orders IP:
When placing the Adult Central Line Flushing Order Set, the Standard Adult Care & Maintenance of Centrals Lines will have SALINE ONLY flushes listed as the recommended choice.
