[epicproviders] Effective 5/15/2023: Butterfly POCT Ultrasound Software

[Epic - All Provider Staff]

Effective May 15, 2023: ButterflyTM is a point of care ultrasound software that allows integration with Epic for imaging studies. This software is available on multiple platforms: iOS (preferred), Android, Mac, PC and Butterfly's handheld device.  Butterfly IQ app is available in the App Store.  Butterfly's software is compatible with Butterfly and non-Butterfly imaging devices.

Providers will see an MRN barcode in the patient chart.  This barcode will be used for Butterfly workflow only.

We will be going live with this in the UH & CC Inpatient and Emergency departments as well as the following Ambulatory Clinics:

All providers using ButterflyTM software have been trained by the vendor.  If you are interested in learning Butterfly software, please contact your physician champion to inquire about training.
