[epicproviders] IP Provider - Primary Team Assignment

[Epic - All Provider Staff]

Attention Inpatient Providers:

Effective May 27, 2025: Patients will no longer be allowed to have a gap in Primary Team coverage. All admission order sets require the identification of a Primary Team if one has not already been assigned. Order sets have also been updated to ensure orders sign or sign/hold appropriately based on the patient status, location, and the ordering activity. Any admission order set on your preference list will be updated with this change.

NOTE: Patients cannot be transferred to a bed without a Primary Team assigned, except for being transferred into procedural areas. Nursing may contact the Attending Provider when a Primary Provider Team is missing.
