[epicproviders] Effective 2/12/2026: IP Providers: Patient Lists - Columns for GMLOS and AMLOS

Inpatient Providers
Effective February 12, 2026: A column titled Days to GMLOS (Geometric Mean Length of Stay) and a column titled AMLOS (Arithmetic Mean Length of Stay) can be added to Patient Lists.

Days to GMLOS: Displays the number of days remaining until the patient's stay has exceeded the GMLOS measure. The GMLOS measure is a direct indicator of the expected length of stay for the DRG (diagnosis-related group). The length of stay is a priority for delivering quality care and is relevant to capacity and discharge planning.

  *   GMLOS is generally used for Medicare payer DRGs

AMLOS: Displays the arithmetic mean length of stay for the principal working DRG recorded in the most recent Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) review. Information displays in a decimal format.

  *   AMLOS is used for Commercial payer DRGs
