The new rule will prohibit “information blocking”. Institutions and providers (with limited exceptions) will be required to share notes, results and other information with patients with little to no time delay. You will be able to selectively hold back information you dream injurious but the default must be to release all information. There will be heavy fines for not meeting this rule (institutions will have 1 million dollar fine for <i>each</i> infraction).
