The DNR order (In-house patients) and its workflow will be updated Monday. The companion paper forms will no longer be needed- all information will be collected by the Epic order. Please note the following information and linked education materials. </div>

<li style="list-style-type:"- ""><span>The DNR order will collect all the needed information. Questions will change dynamically while you complete the order so you only see the fields you need to complete. </span></li><li style="list-style-type:"- "">The DNR status is shown on the storyboard- point and hover to it to see the current order's detail and history of prior orders from the updated system. </li><li style="list-style-type:"- "">Orders placed by residents must be co-signed by an attending within. 24 hours</li><ul style="list-style-type:circle">
<li style="">Co-signatures can be done by inbox either in Hyperspace (the full computer version of Epic) or in Haiku. You do not need to find and sign paperwork on the unit after this change. </li><li style="">Any appropriate attending can also co-sign- the need to do so will be listed on the storyboard and other places in Epic that show orders that need co-signatures (like the summary report)</li></ul>
<li style="list-style-type:"- "">The updated policy (CM E-17) supporting this new workflow will be in MCN Monday. </li></ul>
