[JosProv-time] scheduling

Hello Everyone,
It appears that there were multiple cancelations for the Fellows yesterday as it is difficult to schedule patients the week before a Holiday.  The schedules were held for the call back patients that were to reschedule for that week. Ginny did not schedule new patients in those slots as she assumed they would fill up with the follow up cancels.  To avoid this in the future we can leave certain Fellows diagnosis slots unblocked for everyone to schedule in.  This will prevent empty schedules when there are ad on clinics and it will also reduce the amount of call backs in the pools.

Why were their schedules empty? That was my question.  Last two Mondays were pretty full.
The two fellows showed up today to see patients and there were no patients in their schedule.
Yes, they were scheduled to accommodate patients but if all patients were accommodated, I would have expected new patients to be given to them.

We do have a scheduling email listing that Michelle, Stephanie, Melissa and myself are part of.

Hi, I have four fellows listed in the afternoon to be supervised by me today but only two of them have patients(and for two of these fellows, the schedule is not completely full). Just wanted to bring this to your attention so that we can see why this occurred. I am cc'ing Michelle too as when you try to find fellows to add to any clinic, these two could be the priority as they had one less clinic this week.

I really think we need to make a "Scheduling pool" at Joslin as scheduling is a constant problem.
