Hi Dr. Lundi,

Friday, November 21st at noon is great. And yes, a November session works great to fit in with National Diabetes month! Within the topic of common foot problems in diabetes, what are you planning to cover? Below is a draft for our marketing, let me know what you think about covering all of what I have included below. Ideally, speakers have 30-45 minutes of content and then we open it up for questions from the audience for the remainder of the hour-long session.

TCommon Foot Issues with Diabetes: Prevention and Treatments
Early detection and treatment can prevent many of the foot problems and serious complications that people with Diabetes can sometimes face. Dr. Lundi from Joslin Diabetes Center will cover preventive care and daily habits to reduce foot issues, what signs to watch for, and when to seek medical attention. Also learn about common foot conditions, their treatments, and recovery expectations.

Thanks again!
Amy

Hi Dr. Ricardo Lundi,

Thank you very much for your interest and willingness to hold a session for the community! *Thank you Karen for getting us connected and together!*

I think the community will look forward to attending a talk on foot issues relating to diabetes. Our hour long sessions typically start between 4:30 and 6, but we also hold noon sessions if that works for your schedule better. Can you provide me with a few dates that would work for you? Dates to avoid: Oct: 1, 7, 8, 13, 14, Nov: 12, and avoid Thanksgiving time (Nov. 25-28th) Dec: 23-26 and Dec. 30 & 31st. I have a few other sessions I am currently trying to schedule, so a couple of these dates may fill up.

Also, let me know what you would like to cover for the session so I can include it in the description and title for marketing, or perhaps you already have something written up. Ideas I have so far include: resources, tips, daily routines to follow for footcare with diabetes and pre diabetes, safe nail trimming techniques, when to seek medical attention, importance of caring for your feet and common foot problems with diabetes.

Once we have the date and title set, I will create the Zoom link and register you so you have the link. I can also share more details of how the sessions are formatted, but I didn’t want to overwhelm you information.

Thanks again for your time and expertise!

Sincerely,
Amy
