[LabUpdates] Laboratory Formulary Committee Updates - ANA and ANCA testing changes, Arthritis order panel change

Medicine and laboratory testing are constantly changing. In an attempt to keep us all on the same page, the Laboratory Formulary Committee will be regularly sending out emails with recent updates and guidances. Below are the short versions of relevant changes. Attached are more in-depth resources about the changes.

ANA and ANCA testing change: Starting 9/14/2021, Antinuclear antibodies (ANA) and antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA) testing will be performed using a new system.  Results will be presented in a slightly different format.  Please see the attached guidance for additional details and the attached word file for more in-depth guidance on appropriate use and interpretation of this testing.

Arthritis Panel testing change: Starting 9/14/2021, the "Arthritis panel" order in Epic (code LAB2801) will be converted to an Epic order panel.  This will allow for greater visibility of which specific tests are being ordered.  Please see the attached guidance for additional details.
