[LabUpdates] Laboratory Formulary Committee Updates - JAK-2(P vera) testing in-house

Medicine and laboratory testing are constantly changing.  The Laboratory Formulary Committee regularly sends out emails with new updates and changes.



Change in JAK-2(P Vera) testing:  Starting March 25th, 2024, the JAK2 Exon12 -P. vera assay will transition from being a send-out test to being performed in-house at Upstate's Molecular laboratory.  The testing can be ordered using Molecular Diagnostics, Oncology (LABAP2707) and selecting the JAK-2 Exon 12 - P. vera.  Please see the attached guidance for further details.
