</span></strong><strong><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Segoe UI",sans-serif;font-weight:normal">The national shortage of blue-top tubes used for coagulation testing blood draws continues to affect the supply of these tubes at Upstate. These blue-top
tubes have been the appropriate tubes to use when removing the initial “waste” blood for blood draws using vascular lines. Upstate now stocks a dedicated tube for this “waste” or “prime” draw, which will help preserve our stocks of blue-top tubes for coagulation
