<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Segoe UI",sans-serif">Medicine and laboratory testing are constantly changing. In an attempt to keep us all on the same page, the Laboratory Formulary Committee will be regularly sending out emails
with recent updates and guidances. A short description of the change is below.</span><o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Segoe UI",sans-serif">Upgrade to Laboratory IT:
</span></b><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Segoe UI",sans-serif">On <b>
<span style="color:#C00000">Wednesday, December 14, 2022, starting at 06:00AM</span></b>,
<b>the laboratory will implement a new server that supports the resulting of tests processed on the main chemistry analyzers in the Downtown and Community campus clinical laboratories</b>. We anticipate the server upgrade to take<b> approximately two hours</b>.
During this time, laboratory staff are still able to process specimens and distribute results, however it will be a
<b>manual process</b> <b>which requires more time than usual</b>. STAT lab orders are given priority per standard practice.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Segoe UI",sans-serif"> </span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Segoe UI",sans-serif">The laboratory would like to make clinical staff aware of this upgrade, and also encourage staff to
<b>send early morning draws to the lab in a timely manner in the early hours of Wednesday December 14<sup>th</sup></b>. The laboratory will process and result chemistry specimens as quickly as possible.
