<b>June 25<sup>th</sup> 2026</b>, a new Thyroid testing order panel <b>Thyroid Function Algorithm (LAB8954)</b> will be implemented to help guide appropriate usage of the various thyroid tests. This order panel provides testing algorithms depending on the
indication for testing. This will allow for best utilization of resources, minimize inappropriate testing, and provide for best sequential testing on the initial sample to avoid missed testing. Please see the attached guidance for further details.

<b>June 25<sup>th </sup>2026,</b> a new option for urine electrophoresis and immunofixation to be done using
<b>24-hour urines</b> vs <b>random urine</b> samples will be available. The orders for testing using a 24-hour urine are
<b>Electrophoresis, 24 HR Urine (LAB123140)</b> and <b>Immunofixation, 24 HR Urine (LAB123139</b>). The current orders for random urine samples will be renamed to
<b>Protein Electrophoresis with TPU, Urine Random (LAB438)</b> and <b>Immunofixation with TPU, Urine Random (LAB6016</b>). Please see the attached guidance for further details.
