On behalf of the SURF program and Dr. Knutson:

Dear Graduate Students,

Are you looking to add some teaching experience to your CV?  GS647-009 Nanocourse: SURF Journal Club is schedule to being on Thursday May 25th.

This course was created to give graduate students the opportunity to organize, moderate, and evaluate undergraduates who are participating in Upstate’s Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) program.

There will be an initial meeting for registered participants May 25th.  You will meet with your undergraduate students on Tuesday June 6th.  The program will then run for ~6 weeks until each SURF student has had a chance to present.

Your responsibilities will be to organize the journal club, moderate each meeting, and provide feedback to the students. If enough students register, there will be two organizers per journal club.  If you are interested, please contact Cheryl Small in the College of Graduate Studies and register for GS647-009.
