[mdphd] Queen's Jubilee

Hi everyone,

I really hope to see you at the Queen’s Jubilee tomorrow! This is not meant to be stressful- quite the opposite! If you join us but are not up for a performance, you’re still in for a treat! If you participate (and you should), you’re eligible for a prize 😊 I ordered Dosa Grill for dinner and there will be a few spirits. Last summer, Dr. Dhamoon had the idea for this event as sort of an “ice-breaker-on-steroids” when I first started as your coordinator. The continuation of this event serves a multitude of purposes:


  *   Providing a chance for the MDPhD group to color outside the lines
  *   Celebrating our idiosyncrasies with a showcase of hidden or not-so-hidden talents and skills (no need to do something new if you participated last year BTW)
  *   Setting tone for a new upcoming year of Grand Rounds

Our MDPhD palace is sacred and should be honored in such a way throughout this crazy journey of becoming physician-scientists. We hope that the space in which we will continue to gather and learn together is a welcoming one, full of communal support, vulnerability, camaraderie, and connection.

Again, I hope to see you all there after the COGS picnic! We start the show at 5pm in Setnor 3507 (food and drinks will be there at 4:30).
