Dear Colleagues,

We are overjoyed that Tatiana defended her dissertation with honors today. What an achievement!

We celebrated multiple papers written by our amazing students during our town hall a few weeks ago. I'm not sure if you noticed at the very bottom of the last line of the newsletter (almost as an afterthought), Andrea won the 38th annual Dearing Writing Award Competition this year. Only one faculty/employee is honored with this every year. Andrea, please remember to send us the pubmed reference once it is published. We are so proud of you.

Boring stuff:
I will be volunteering at Poverello Health Center tomorrow evening from 5-7 pm. This is a free clinic for the uninsured that is staffed by volunteer nurses and physicians.

In addition, I will be seeing primary care patients at Community Internists on 4488 Onondaga Blvd on 5/13 and 5/20 from 1-5. The longitudinal clinical preceptorship for first year students will be completed by that time so the office will be quiet. If you would like to join me in the clinic please reach out.
