Good afternoon,


The Northeast Latino Medical Student Association will be holding its annual regional conference this spring, March 6-8, 2026 at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biological Sciences in Buffalo, NY. Our annual research symposium will be held on the afternoon of the first day of the conference, March 6th.


Each year, through the symposium, we showcase the amazing work that students throughout the northeast region have been accomplishing. In the past, we have worked with the New England Journal of Medicine and this year we have partnered with the International Journal of Medical Students to try to bring together over 75 poster and oral presentations. We have a panel of faculty judges who review all the presenters during the symposium, and at the end we present awards to individuals who scored the highest in various categories. Students whose abstracts are selected are also eligible to purchase early bird discounted conference tickets even after the session ends.


We hope that our call for abstracts will be shared with the rest of the student body and encouraged to submit an abstract for review. Our deadline for submission is December 19th, 2025 at 5pm EST. Below is the link to the form, and we have also attached our flyer with the information.
