We hope everyone is doing well! Here are the updates for this week.

Career Advisory Dinner
The 19th Annual Career Advisory Dinner will take place on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, from 5:30 to 8:00 PM in 4414 A/B/C NAB. This event provides MS1, MS2, and MS3 students with the opportunity to connect with current mentors and explore their career interests. Don't miss this chance to gain valuable insights and guidance from experienced professionals!

Anatomical Gifts Ceremony
The Anatomical Gifts Program Ceremony will be held on April 26, 2025, at 1 PM at Syracuse University’s Hendrick’s Chapel. This special event honors the generous donors and their families who have contributed to medical education. All students are highly encouraged to attend!
Ways to Get Involved:

Ushering: Greet guests, assist with seating, and help individuals with special needs.
  *
Quote Submission: Submit a brief, original quote about the significance of anatomical donation to your educational experience. One will be selected for the Annual Memorial Service Plaque in the Anatomy Lab hallway.
  *
Talent Showcase: Share your talents by performing a poem, song, speech, or play an instrument to enhance the meaning of the event.

Please fill out the form if you would like to volunteer at Upstate's Annual Anatomical Gift Program. The ceremony will be held on April 26th, 2025 1 PM at Hendrick's Chapel. It is highly encouraged for students from all programs (MS1, DPT, PA) to attend the service. Deadline to submit this form is March 13th, 2025 11:59 PM.

Reminder for the 2025 Medical Alumni Scholarships
The Medical Alumni Foundation offers over 100 scholarships each year to Norton College of Medicine students. Applications for 2025 Medical Alumni Scholarships are now open.
Eligibility:

  *
Class of 2028 (MS1)
  *
Class of 2027 (3-Year Program)

Key Updates:

  *
The Sarah Loguen Fraser, MD Alumni Scholarship is now an open application (faculty letters are optional but encouraged).
  *
New Scholarships:
     *
Margaret and Jonathan Lowell, MD '75 Endowed Scholarship: For MS1s interested in Primary Care (Preference: Northern NY).
     *
Mallory Stephens, MD '54 Endowed Scholarship: For MS1s and MS2s interested in Rheumatology or Immunology.
     *
Keith Stube, MD '88 Endowed Scholarship: For students with financial need and an interest in Orthopedic Surgery (Preference: Western NY).
