As future physicians, we wanted to make you aware of North Country Scholars, a new scholarship and career development program for medical students with a connection to the North Country of Upstate New York. Hudson Headwaters Health Network is thrilled to launch this program in partnership with Upstate Medical College to support the future physicians who will, in turn, support our North Country communities.



As a physician at Salem Family Health, one of the Network's 26 health center locations, I have the privilege of serving the region where I grew up. North Country Scholars was designed to prepare future physicians for the unique rewards, challenges and opportunities associated with serving our rural communities. In fact, this opportunity goes beyond medical school tuition assistance and includes additional career networking, mentorship opportunities and customized learning experiences.
