Lecture Summary:

This talk provides clinicians with a practical overview of how to identify, evaluate, and treat alcohol use disorder (AUD) in clinical practice. It reviews key screening tools, diagnostic criteria, and approaches for assessing the severity and health impacts of alcohol use. The session also highlights evidence-based treatment options, including behavioral interventions and FDA-approved medications. By the end, clinicians will gain essential knowledge to recognize AUD early and implement effective, patient-centered treatment strategies.
