MED2029 Become a Mentor: "Orange to Upstate" Program with Syracuse University

Dear Students,



We’re excited to invite you to become a mentor in the Orange to Upstate Mentorship Program, a collaborative initiative between SUNY Upstate Medical University and Syracuse University.



This program connects medical students from all class years with Syracuse University undergraduate students pursuing pre-health tracks. As a mentor, you’ll provide invaluable guidance, support, and insight to students who aspire to follow in your footsteps.



Key Details:



  *   Program: Orange to Upstate Mentorship Program
  *   Mandatory Kick-Off Event: Monday, October 6th at 7:00 PM (in-person)
  *   Location: NAB 4414 B/C
  *   Eligibility: Open to all SUNY Upstate medical students, Syracuse University alumni highly encouraged to participate
  *   Bonus: Participation in this program can be counted toward your community engaged learning hours



Whether you're passionate about mentorship, interested in giving back, or looking to build leadership and communication skills, this is a meaningful opportunity to make a difference in the lives of future health professionals.



At the kickoff event, you will meet your mentee(s), discuss communication preferences, and setup your next meeting(s). It is expected that each mentor/mentee pair will meet throughout the year.
