MED2029 MS in Physiology for MD Students

Dear Students,



I am reaching out to inform you of the MS in Physiology for MD students program.



This program provides an expedited track for SUNY Upstate medical students who wish to take a gap year from medical school following the STEP-1 exam to explore a research opportunity and earn a stand-alone master’s degree.



While the degree is offered through the Department of Physiology, your research can be done with faculty across Upstate, so you can work on a project that is of particular interest and relevance to your future medical career.

Who should apply

  *   Students with a substantial prior research experience

Participating students will have a tuition waiver and a stipend



I will be available to talk about the program in person on Friday, July 25, from 1-2 p.m. in the CAB lobby at the Opportunities Fair, and also on Tuesday, July 29, during the Electives Session with Dr. Maimone in the NAB 4th floor classroom that starts at 2 p.m.
