[nursingnews] Giving Thanks to Our Environmental Services Staff

Good morning all,

My name is Zuri Williams, and I serve as the Multicultural Representative for the Class of 2027. I'm reaching out to inform you and the staff in your office of a collective Class Officer initiative to give thanks to our Environmental Services Staff for the often-unsung work they do to keep both the hospital and our medical school running smoothly. They arrive early, stay late, and complete essential tasks that make our learning and working environments clean, safe, and welcoming.

As Thanksgiving approaches, we have organized a simple yet meaningful way to show our appreciation. From Friday, November 21st to 26th will set up large posters with markers in three high-traffic areas:

  *   2nd floor of the hospital in front of the main hospital
  *   7th floor Weiskotten-hospital connection elevators
  *   Setnor first-floor tables

These check points will serve as points where students, residents, faculty, and staff can write messages of gratitude, words of encouragement, favorite memories, or shout-outs to specific Environmental Services Staff team members.

To accompany this, we are providing donuts and coffee at the 7th-floor bridge connection area and in Setnor so that Environmental Services staff can enjoy a treat while reading the messages.
 We would appreciate your help in spreading the word to your office/department to encourage everyone to participate!

I truly believe this small gesture could go a long way in showing our appreciation for those who quietly keep our community running every day!
