ELECTRICAL POWER INTERRUPTION NOTICE FOR

Cancer Center, TU34, TU4, West Garage and 550 Harrison


TO:                       All Departments with Space in Cancer Center, TU3, TU4, West Garage and 550 Harrison


SUBJECT:          Electrical Power Interruption Notice for Friday December 9, 2022 at 5 AM.

DATE:                  December 7, 2022



On Friday December 9, 2022 National Grid is going to be de-energizing feeder 59 to allow for work to be done in another customers building. The buildings listed below will be experiencing a power outage, this outage will simulate what would happen if we were to have a National Grid power outage on this feeder.

This is what you can expect to happen between 5:00 am and 6:00 am Friday December 9, 2022:

Cancer Center

Emergency Power - Red outlets, hall and office lighting with red switches along with emergency powered equipment will blink at roughly 5:30 am and later the day once power is restored.

Normal Power - Portions of the buildings normal power lighting, outlets and equipment will see a loss of power at roughly 5:30 am for up to 5 minutes while switching is being done. Switching should be complete by around 6:00 am.

Sensitive patient care equipment should be plugged into red outlets. Any non-critical office equipment or computers should be turned off in advance of this outage.

West Garage

Building will be on emergency power only starting Friday December 9, 2022 at 3:00 pm until Wednesday December 14, 2022 at roughly 4:00 pm once work is complete.

All elevators will be out of operation for the duration of this outage

550 Harrison

Normal Power - All normal power lighting, outlets and equipment will see a loss of power when National Grid does there switching some time Friday December 9, 2022.

TU3 and TU4

Switching to be done by OMH.

Normal Power - All normal power lighting, outlets and equipment will see a loss of power while switching is being done on Thursday December 8, 2022 between 7:30 and 8:00 am.


The main hospital, East Wing, East Tower and other Campus buildings will not be affected by this outage.
