Our next Grand Rounds at the Department of Psychiatry SUNY Upstate will take place on:

   TITLE: Risk v. Threat Assessment for Mental Health Professionals
SPEAKER:  Kostas A. Katsavdakis, PhD, ABPP, Licensed Psychologist and Diplomate in Forensic Psychiatry, American Board of Professional Psychology

DESCRIPTION: This overview will present an overview of risk versus threat assessment for mental health professionals. We will review the threat assessment process and how mental health professionals can assist in this process.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Following this activity, the participants should be able to:
1.  Discuss risk v. threat assessment process.
2. Review of threat assessment process.
3. Identify relevant risk assessments instruments.
