   TITLE: Framework for Brain-Derived Dimensions of Psychopathology
SPEAKER:  Ward Alsarafandi, MD and Maliha Ansari, MBBS, PGY III Residents, SUNY Upstate Medical University
ATTENDING: Zsuzsa Szombathyne Meszaros, MD, PhD, Professor of Psychiatry, SUNY Upstate Medical University

LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Following this activity, the participants should be able to:
1. Recognize how psychiatric symptoms can be regrouped into six dimensions defined by shared brain signatures instead of traditional DSM/ICD categories.
         2.Learn how combining multimodal neuroimaging with standard clinical questionnaires (via canonical correlation analysis) can link symptoms to specific brain mechanisms across different disorders.
            3. Appreciate why this is a proof-of-concept for precision psychiatry, and why modest effect sizes and a narrow study population mean it is not yet ready for bedside use.
