Hello,

First, I want to say thank you so much for the continued support at our monthly toxicology ECHOs. For those of you that attended this weeks ECHOs you heard us making a plea for more case presentations from our spokes/participants. ECHO is really founded on case based learning and we really want to make sure we are capitalizing on that aspect of our programming. Some ECHOs across the country assign dates for case presentations to their spokes, but I hate to put people on the spot!! I am hoping we can get a solid case turnout without having to take that extra step!

We know that when dealing with toxicology and emergency medicine cases are emergent and often you do not see the same patient with the same issues again (not a chronic condition). This can make bringing cases a bit more challenging. Please know, you are welcome to bring about ANY toxicology case that you feel would help clarify a topic, you found to be an outlier or particularly interesting, or something you feel you wish you had had further direction on. The case topic does not need to match the didactic topic for the session.

The case presentation form is attached as a fillable PDF. It is also on our website, though I am going to be updating it, as I am finding it challenging to complete online for some reason. If you need another copy of the form or just want to shoot the information in an email that is acceptable as well. All I ask, is that if you submit a case presentation and don’t receive a confirmation from me, please follow up, as I may not have received it.

I have also attached a copy of the tox schedule to make sure you are aware of the upcoming clinic topics.

Can’t wait to see the upcoming cases and what we can learn from them!

Thanks!
Deidre
