Cases for Discussion:
1. 29 yo female arrived to the ED. She was attempting to cross an international border when she was apprehended by border control. She was witnessed to swallow a large bag of drugs upon being searched. Vitals are as follows: HR 84, BP 118/85, RR 20, O2 98% on room air, Temp not currently obtained on arrival.
2. 29 yo female was admitted for eclampsia yesterday. She is post-operative day 1 status post Cesarean section. The patient was stated to being getting Magnesium for her eclampsia. Call was made to poison control regarding emergently discussing patient sustaining a cardiac arrest within minutes of expressing shortness of breath and fatigue.
