ACMT national case conference from 1-2 PM

Cases after National Conference:

  1.  A 51-year-old F with a history of atrial fibrillation presents to the emergency department after an intentional suicide attempt with 40 tablets of her own medication. On exam, she has a heart rate of 47 beats/min, and a blood pressure of 73/35 mmHg.
  2.  A 2-year-old male presents to the emergency department with generalized malaise and feeling unwell per mom. Three days ago, he was seen in the emergency department for vomiting and diarrhea after exploratory ingestion and was discharged home. On exam today, he is tachycardic at 164 beats/min, and O2 Sat is 87% on RA. Labs are notable for a hemoglobin of 8.1 g/dl.
