MEDICAL AIR SHUTDOWN NOTICE FOR

UH  ORIGINAL HOSPITAL AREAS ONLY( North, South and West Wings)


TO:                        All Departments with Space in the Original  UH Hospital

SUBJECT:             UH Medical Air Shutdown Notice “IMPORTANT: TWO SEPARATE SHUTDOWNS”

TODAY’S DATE:                                Sept 04, 2024

INTERRUPTION DATES:                   September 6th and 7th, 2024




On Friday Sept 6th between the hours of 0400 am to 0700 am and then again on Saturday, September 7th, between the hours of 6:00 am and 8:00 pm we will be shutting down the medical air system serving the UH Original Hospital Areas, alarms will need to be acknowledged and silenced.

Medical air needs for days of the shutdowns have been coordinated with the respiratory department so a temporary solution can be provided.

This is what you can expect to happen:


  *   The medical devices and outlets located in the UH Original Hospital will be shut down Friday 0400-0700 am and  from 6:00 am – 8:00 pm Saturday. All areas of concern have been coordinated with the Respiratory Department and the floor therapist will make necessary equipment change overs.
  *   A Vocera announcement will be made to indicating the start of the shutdown.
  *   A Vocera announcement will be made when the medical air service has been restored and is ready for use.



Only the UH north, west and south wings will be impacted by this shutdown.
