[util] Fire Stopping Work – February 23–26, 2026

February 23–26, 2026, contractors will be on the 3rd floor to address minor fire penetration deficiencies within the fire-rated wall assemblies. Work will begin in the 3rd Floor South area. Access to the 3rd Floor North area will occur early Wednesday morning, prior to the unit opening.
Contractors will use ladders to access ceiling spaces, removing one ceiling tile at a time as needed. Entry into active patient care areas will occur only after coordination with nursing staff. There will be no anticipated interruption to patient care services.
Mark Rioux will meet with staff in advance of work commencing in these areas to review the scope and address any questions or concerns. All serviced areas will be restored to normal operation at the end of each workday.
