[unyoc-planning] Conference Planning Update

Hi everyone,

I wanted to provide an update on where things currently stand. I apologize for us not meeting in May. With MLA and then getting covid, the month quickly got away from me. But no worries because we are on track.

We have two speakers confirmed! Dr. Mary Carey<https://son.rochester.edu/faculty/detail/mgcarey/> will be speaking on October 27th and Beatriz LeBron<https://www.commongroundhealth.org/our-team/beatriz-lebron> will be speaking on the 28th. Speaker agreements have been sent to both speakers.

Vendor registration is live! Thank you to Rachel and Jennifer for your work getting that done.

We have finalized our theme for the conference: Reflecting in Rochester.

We still need to select a CE and the list we compiled at our last meeting is:

I would rank critical conversations, open access, and wellness as my top 3.  I am interested in what others think, but we should make a top 3 decisions so Sarah can begin reaching out.

Mary Jo will be reaching out to invite the MLA president and touch base with Region 7.

Here are some things we have coming to check off our to-do list:

I will get a meeting on the books for June in the coming days. We will be moving to a twice-monthly meeting format as we gear up for the conference! Woohoo! I will be sending out a doodle poll for day and time availability.
