On July 29, 2024, Murnane Building Contractors will be having their subcontractor, Summit Environmental mobilize and start asbestos abatement at the Weiskotten Hall Student Lounge.

This will involve placing materials around the outside of the south entrance and under the canopy near the B-4 parking lot.  At the south entrance there will be building materials used in building their containment.  The Abatement is expected to take ten (10) days to complete and will generate some noise with the method used to remove the material from the ceiling of the Lounge area.

On August 12, 2024 general construction is expected to start and project completion is scheduled for mid to late September.
