For those of you who are reading “Personal Librarian” for the September book club, I highly recommend layering this book with “The Vanishing Half” by Brit Bennett (the first author in the 22-23 Friends of the Central Library Lecture Series here on September 13) and the 2021 movie “Passing” available on Netflix.
