I have referenced Bernadette Melnyk’s work in my developmental pediatrics teaching for many years.  Her research on caregiver support programs in NICUs and PICUs is a very good example of  interprofessional collaboration and improved health outcomes.

I recognize with respect the Onondaga and Oneida Nations. Where I live and work in Central New York is their ancestral land. I also recognize with respect the Black community of Syracuse, which has been disrupted and dislocated throughout this city’s history.
