Subject: [EXTERNAL] [gwims] AAMC Webinar: Planning for the SFFA v Harvard and UNC SCOTUS Decisions
[AAMC - Association of American Medical Colleges]
The Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) is considering two legal cases in which plaintiffs challenge the limited consideration of race and ethnicity in higher education admissions (Students for Fair Admission v. Harvard, Students for Fair Admission v. University of North Carolina). The Court is expected to announce its rulings by the end of the Court’s session in June 2023.
In preparation, the AAMC invites you to join us for a webinar on Tuesday, March 7 from 2- 3 p.m. ET to discuss the importance of these cases to health professional education and practice, walk through possible outcomes, and outline considerations for contingency planning.
This overview is intended for the academic medicine community. This webinar is a part of a series of webinars and resources that the AAMC will provide its member institutions and partner organizations leading up to and following the Supreme Court decisions.
