Would you mind sending this to WIMS? The class has started but it is possible they would take late applications to sign up.

Subject: Healthcare Leadership Course in Spring 2023
Dear Colleagues – I would like to make everyone aware that Mr. James Cody, Adjunct Instructor of Public Health & Preventive Medicine and former Director of the VA Medical Center here in Syracuse, will be offering his course, “Leadership and Lean Thinking in Healthcare Organizations,” during the Spring 2023 semester. The course will be offered on Monday afternoons, in person, from 4pm – 7pm, beginning January 9th until April 24th.
This course will provide students with the opportunity to explore and develop a Leadership approach toward building/improving and sustaining an effective healthcare organization. Students will apply concepts from Public Health and Lean Thinking toward systems re-design for Quality patient care Outcomes, Patient Satisfaction, Employee Engagement, and Organizational Efficiency in a healthcare setting.
Those interested in registering for the course can complete two forms: an add/drop form and an non-matric registration form. These are then sent to Kara Welch at WelchKa at upstate.edu<mailto:WelchKa at upstate.edu>, in the Registrar’s Office. Registrations can be accepted until January 13th, and the course number is MPHP632-001(13774).
The course is a 3-credit, graduate level seminar. Those interested should have at least an earned Bachelor’s degree and a professional context where they can apply concepts from the course is real time. Tuition is charged at the Upstate graduate rate ($471/credit at present).
Please let us know if you have any questions, and pass along to anyone who might be interested. Prior versions of the course has been well-received in the past!
Best
