Tagging on this book club post as I have a few tickets to the Gifford Author series lecture the following evening, May 7. It features Art Spiegelman and Neil Gaiman.

Please let me know by Noon tomorrow, Friday May 3, if you’re interested in a ticket. I will draw at random based on response, and let winners know directly. Thanks!

Hello,

We will meet at 5:45 pm on Monday, May 6th at Dale Avers house 727 Sumner Ave., Syracuse, NY 13210. Dale’s phone is (315) 415-8436. Please bring a drink or finger food to share.

We will discuss "The Indigo Girl" by Natasha Boyd. It takes place in 1739 and tells the story of a sixteen-year-old girl in Colonial South Carolina and how she defies all expectations to achieve her dream.

If you want to read ahead - we will meet one month later on 6/10/24 to discuss "Pandora's Lab: Seven Stories of Science Gone Wrong" by Paul Offit, MD. It is only 277 pages and is a quick read. This will be at 5:30 pm and at regular location.

Please send ideas for fall books. We already have one on our list:

"Eve: How the Female Body Drove 200 Million Years of Human Evolution" by Cat Bohannon.

Deb and Dale
