<div>My previous university provided women faculty regular training. One of the trainings included research on how men and women negotiate salaries differently - was actually quite interesting. They reviewed strategies on how to improve women’s salary negotiation
skills. Fast forward years later... not related - they hired an independent consultant to assess the pay gap ... pay gap didn't change and in some cases got worse..... </div>

<div>later in life it occurred to me - training wasn't going to change culture.... if the training had a chance it needed to be bi-directional to address the pay gap (behavior of negotiation between two people) and needed a level of HR/leadership accountability.
