MLA has drafted a statement in support of Ukraine, posted here.<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.mlanet.org/p/cm/ld/fid=1122&&blogaid=3906__;!!GobTDDpD7A!ed4NgaoZGlyBIOxQIHGQVcRM0tkumHAmhdh6N7hoCDEhbqcTDh8nA8F-L7nT3JKJLt0-S2v6rw$ >  If our chapter is interested in signing onto the statement, as written and approved by the MLA Board of Directors, I can notify Mary Langman.  I'm unclear if this is a decision we can make as a board, or if it needs to go to the membership.

Could you send an email to your listservs asking chapters and caucuses wishing to sign onto the statement as written and approved by the Board to send an email to Mary Langman<mailto:mary.langman at mlahq.org> or Jamie Birkner<mailto:jamie.birkner at mlahq.org> with the name of their chapter.  We will add them to the bottom of the statement.

These groups are welcome to write their own statements but they may also choose to just endorse the association's or do both.

We will be sending a note out in this week's MLAConnect as well.
