Dear Colleagues,

Please extend a warm welcome to Michael Cronin who joins CHP on August 20th as Clinical Assistant Professor and Coordinator of Simulation for Cardiovascular Perfusion.

As a 2022 Clinical Perfusion graduate, Michael is excited to be back as faculty teaching in the classroom with a big focus in simulation instruction, scenario design, and student feedback.  Before becoming a perfusionist, Michael spent nine years as a surgical technologist, which gave him a strong appreciation for what's happening in the surgical field and shapes how he will approach building realistic, practical learning experiences for students. Over the last four years, Michael worked as a perfusionist at Rochester General Hospital and St. Peter's Hospital in Albany.

Outside of work,  Michael  loves tinkering with computer programming, electronics, or woodworking.  He and his wife share their home with two cats and a 9-month-old black lab/golden retriever mix.
