[CHPFacultyStaff] Professional travel funding AY 25-27

Dear Faculty Colleagues,

As we head into the new academic year I want to be certain that you all are aware that the professional conference funding allocation for full-time faculty members has been increased from $500 to $1,000. Part-time faculty funding is proportional to their percent FTE. This travel funding does not apply to adjunct faculty.

Note that:
Conference travel should be coordinated in advance with department chairs.
Use of funds for purposes other than professional travel (e.g., for other professional development opportunities) must be approved by the chair in consultation with the dean.
The reimbursement and approval process remains unchanged. Please submit your travel authorization requests in self-serve through the standard departmental channels. Program assistants and department chairs will have the correct account billing information.

We hope this additional support helps lower the financial barriers to attending key conferences in your disciplines.
