Subject: Downtime THIS MORNING
Importance: High
An update is being done to the Corepoint Interface Engine from 4:30am to 6:00am on Sunday, 9/12/21.
The Corepoint interface engine is what sends and receives data from Epic, including Admission, Discharge, Transfer, Lab, Radiology and Device data. During the downtime no data will be sent or received from Epic.
The update will affect ancillary systems such as the lab and radiology as well as other connected systems such as patient monitors. Epic should be used as per usual to place orders.
* Staff should print and send requisitions from Epic to the lab with specimens.
* Lab labels will not print - instead use patients labels
* Reporting of lab results may be delayed but STAT and CODE Results will be called or faxed to the units.
* Point of Care testing is available but will be delayed posting into Epic
* Monitor Data (Bedside, OBIX, etc.) will not post to Epic during this time and Nursing will need to manually enter vital signs data.
* Anesthesia should use downtime procedures during this update
