Arriving to SUNY Upstate Medical University on September 13, 2021:

CareSelect Imaging is a qualified Clinical Decision Support Mechanism (qCDSM) for high tech imaging studies that integrates directly within Epic.

What does Clinical Decision Support (CDS) look like?  When a provider chooses an indication for an advanced imaging order, CDS will fire a BPA for orders ranked low in appropriateness (scored 1-3).  Other more appropriate orders will be offered as orderable options.

  *   The overall look of the BPA will change based on whether the provider chooses to free text the indication or chooses one that is listed.
